  • These guys are awesome! Got an estimate on a Thursday and they came first thing Monday morning to take down two HUGE trees! Mike came to assess and explained the issues with each tree. He doesn’t overplay to up the services needed. He gives you a truthful and very reasonable estimate! Guys were friendly and did everything to ensure a safe service in regards to making sure our back deck wasn’t damaged and also making sure they were safe as well! My daughter loved watching them climb the trees and watch the limbs fall. They were done so quickly! We absolute plan to use their services again in the near future!   • I called on a Monday around 6pm on a super tight time crunch to get trees trimmed and cut for a home appraisal inspection, Mr. Thompson came out the following day, gave me an estimate and explained What he thought was best and what would work for our inspection. Mr. Thompson and his crew came out the following morning (less than 2 days after my initial call!!) and cut down 4 very tall pine trees, and trimmed about five others back and away from our roof. Mr. Thompson even handled a complaining neighbor for me. The job was completed in about an hour. Fast and efficient!! Mr. Thompson and his company went above and beyond for me. Very reasonably priced!! Would recommend to everyone I know. If we need any tree services again I will only use him and his company! Thank you Mr. Thompson!!

  • I called Michael on a Saturday and he came and gave an estimate and we agreed on a price. He showed up Monday morning as he said he would with a crew of men ready to work. I had 6 large trees around my house and next to a busy street and a rickety chair link fence. I figured it to be a 2 day job but Michael said only 1 day and he did not disappoint us. His men worked all day in 90' heat and didn't stop until the job was done. Do yourself a favor and don't shop around for estimating cause you'll call them anyway. Avoid the headache of waiting on someone to.call you back only to not return your call or make excuses why they weren't there at THEIR appointment. Every man there was polite to my wife and myself. No question! I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. Very good group of hard working men and they won't disappoint you. 5 star for sure!

  • Great experience with this company. Mike was honest and knowledgeable when he came out to give a free quote for some large trees we were concerned about. He gave a reasonable price for cutting down the trees and I appreciated his professional opinion and time so I requested his service. It did take about a week for him to get to me, but I did not mind the wait - there was a pretty bad storm that I'm sure caused issues elsewhere. The crew is quick, efficient, and polite. And the clean up was excellent. We will be using Thompson's again!

  • These guys are efficient!!! They had my trees down, cleaned up the yard, and all the debris hauled off in record time! Now, it did take a few weeks to get this great service. That's because sometimes priorities, like a tree falling on a house takes precedent (and rightly so) over cosmetic work or debris that is just a nuisance. I needed a dying tree removed and also a pear that blew over due to the wild storms we had. I waited for Thompson's because they know what they are doing!   • The guys did an outstanding job today on removing a large tree damaged by a storm and a 65' tree hollowed out by ants. Then they very courteously removed two additional damaged trees because it was what needed to happen. They were efficient, mindful of their mess and left minimal damage to the lawn. Lined the work up for the following week and had the job completed in 1 day. 5+ large trees removed from a residential lot and one tree trimmed up in the front yard.   • Mike and his team are knowledgeable, professional, quick and hard workers. This is the second time we have called to have him cut down trees for us. He trimmed a tree exactly how I asked him and also made an effort to stack up the dropped tree out of the way so we can later use it as fire wood.   • My experience with Thompson's tree service was a blessing. My grand daughter and I had only been out of our pool in the backyard for a few minutes when a large tree limb fell into our pool. I contacted Mr. Thompson and he came and gave me an great quote on taking the tree down. After taking the large tree down, he also cut down another tree behind it for free because it was not on my property but on the city property and he felt it posed great danger to our property if he left it there.   • The most pleasant and professional customer service experience I've had in a long time! Mike came out to my home the morning after a tree fell on our back patio. He assessed the damage, told us what was needed to remove the tree, provided an estimate, and worked with our insurance company to coordinate payment. The tree and all debris were removed without any additional damage. All of this was accomplished between Friday morning and the following Tuesday afternoon!   • They arrived promptly and worked quickly, cleaning up everything before they left. They even ground up the branch piles my neighbor and I had out for the city. I had a particularly challenging and heavy tree, located in a tricky spot, and they handled it with no damage to the property. We are starting upgrades to our driveways and needed the trees cut back so the big trucks could deliver rock.   • WOW!!!! I had a tree that was partially uprooted and fell onto our fence and our neighbor's tree. I called and they came out within a couple hours to complete an estimate. They came back a little bit later and the tree was completely gone! The tree it landed on was able to remain in tact, Mr. Thompson repaired the minor damage to my fence, and was done within an hour. Great quality and timely service. He is also a veteran! I highly recommend them!!!

  • I had Thompsons remove two large trees from either side of my house and was very impressed with the professionalism they showed throughout the entire process. From the minute I met him, I appreciated Michael’s knowledge about what needed to be done, the fair price he set for doing it, and his quiet confidence that he could do it better than anyone else. I could tell that his goal wasn’t just to make money, but to do the best job possible. This philosophy was reflected by the crew members who did the tree removal – not only were they competent and respectful and friendly towards me, but they worked together as a team to complete the job. Thompsons delivered on everything I was promised. I would not hesitate to hire them again and highly recommend that anyone needing tree service consider Thompsons first.

  • My husband and I discovered a cat stuck in our tree (very high) and none of my neighbors wanted to claim the poor cat. We tried to call the fire dept to help but they told us to call a tree service. My husband called Thompson's. The guy showed up in about 15 minutes and had the cat down the tree in no time. He saved the cats life. There's no way the cat would've gotten down without Thompson's coming out. If you're an animal lover like me this means a lot. Thanks a lot Thompsons tree service. My husband and I will most definitely call them in the future for any tree work or saving cats :).

  • Michael was great! He quickly removed the tree branches from our backyard as well as the tree in our front yard. He had extensive knowledge of trees which assisted us in choosing a new placement and type of tree that will thrive in our yard and not cause waterline issues later.   • Thompson Tree Service was referred by a friend. I'm glad they recommended them to me. They just left after removing 3 trees, a large crown of a tree downed in a recent storm and trimming a large Holly that was over our house. They did a TREMENDOUS JOB! Their work was exceptional and fast. The cleaned the yard very well and were professional to a man. I'd give Thompson's 10 stars if I could. When I need tree service in the future I'll definitely call Thompson's. Doc v

  • Thomspsons Tree Service is amazing and does amazing work.... Don't do it your self when you can do it saftely with them. Mike and his crew came to my residence and removed a very dangerous tree that was large and dry but not dead yet. I knew it needed to come out and his crew came out and took care of everything for me. Even called CDE to get the power cut off because he belives in saftey first, they all wear hard hats, and the correct gear while working... THIS tree was HUGE and it was all done with in 4 hours from start to finish with power back on. Thank you for finally showing our family there is a hard working amazing companys still out in Clarksville TN! I will ONLY be using Thompsons Tree Service from now on!!!!

  • Great experience! My kitty was stuck in a tree and as soon as I called Thompons they were here in under 30 minutes on a weekend afternoon. Michael explained the different situations that could happen when getting a cat down and made sure I understood everything. He was able to get him back home safe and sound.   • EXCELLENT! I had a 50 year old, 60ft dead, leaning tree, with trunk less than 6ft from storage barns, wooden privacy fence and neighbors home. Absolutely no room for trucks, trailers or shredders anywhere close to the tree. Any falling limbs would have destroyed fence and barns. These men expertly took down the tree and cleaned up all debris in less than 4 hours. AND it was all manually done. Every tree limb drop was precise. The trunk was sectioned and dropped expertly, precisely and then had to be hand carried out of the tight, confined work area. EXPERT, QUICK, PROFESSIONAL WORK!! Call Thompson Tree Service. I would recommend them for any type tree services.....and especially the ones you think are impossible!!

  • I had three large trees taken down with stump grinding. They showed up and did the job exactly as they said they would, cleaned up and had competitive pricing. They did what they said they would do. !!! I would definitely recommend and use again in the future.

  • I was so pleased with the work Thompsons Tree Service did for us. One of the reasons we bought our house was because we had several MATURE trees. We knew they needed some attention but did NOT want them "topped" like we had seen others do. Mike explained just what the tree needed and he systematically went about doing his job. Our trees are still beautiful and healthy and not in danger of damaging our property. He also predicted one tree was already dying and would go sooner than later, he even predicted how it was fall. He was right. When the time came, he did a great job removing the fallen tree. I wouldn't call anyone else to do such an important and also dangerous job.

  • Contacted Thompsons Tree Service after (work hours) for an estimate on some massive trees that needed to be cut down and out. They showed up early the following day to view the trees and provide a price. I must say, communication was outstanding, they were very professional, and prices were the BEST in town. Other tree services should really takes notes on the quality service Thompsons provided. Definitely recommending them to the public!

  • During a storm a tree in my yard was hit by lightning and and split in half. Called Thompson Tree Service and they came out that day. I was worried about the price for the job and Thompson Tree Service was the best price. This tree was huge and I was afraid it would fall and hit the house. Mike the owner told me it would not and to trust him. I stood back watching a little afraid. However Mike was 100%% on. I would recommend this company to all my friends.

  • Thompsons Tree Service does an Excellent Job. Period. Mike reviewed an area of concern to me close to our home and neighbors and gave me straight forward advice as well as a good quote. Their crew came in and removed five large old growth oaks that were located over my home, garage as well as my neighbors. All of the trees were over my neighbor’s fence. I watched and waited for them to drop a cut onto the fence, or possibly my garage. Was amazed that not one stick landed on any structure! They are good, they are professional, work quickly, and clean their work area before leaving the job. On top of a job well done they are personable and always ready to explain any part of the job. I slept better at night knowing the risk to my family and home was removed. Thanks

  • It's not very often you call for service and get more thank you would expect. Knowledge. We called for an estimate to have our big oak tree topped. Mike Thompson automatically knew we had had it topped before. He showed us.. and then explained to us why that wasn't the best route. All my life I've heard top it, Mike and his pro team showed up, pruned our big oak... which will make it more beautiful and last longer and cleaned up afterwards. It was amazing. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. My neighbor Pat Martin also had trees she needed taken care of so they did both yards in a little over 3 hours. Big trees. His prices are more than reasonable. This is indeed a 5 star company.

  • Excellent/fantastic work! They came the next day and worked in the snow. Mike and crew showed 'extreme' extra care not to damage the car underneath the fallen tree (The tree was huge and had 3 very large limbs across the car). Really great job and attitude. I would highly recommend this tree service!
